AAUW St. George Annual Business Meeting

Another successful Annual Business Meeting is in the books! As a Branch, we are looking ahead to one final meeting of the season in May before enjoying a well-deserved summer break and preparing for an exciting new year of leadership, service, and community connection.

During the meeting, our membership officially accepted the slate of elected officers for the coming year. We are excited to see this new leadership team hit the ground running! A complete list of elected officers can be found on page 5 of this newsletter.

We are still seeking members to fill a few important positions, including a Co-VP for Finance and committee leads for Newsletter and Sister-to-Sister. If you are interested in serving, please reach out to Pat Dalpiaz.

The proposed budget for next year is available on page 6 of this newsletter. As always, our budget remains flexible throughout the year so we can adapt to the needs of both our Branch and our philanthropies. This flexibility helps ensure we can continue supporting the programs and causes that matter most.

A special highlight of the meeting was the presentation of our Distinguished Women Awards. To the surprise and delight of both recipients, awards were presented to Sandy Ghio and Mikki Madden.

Jeris Johnson spoke in honor of Sandy Ghio, while B.A. Secrist shared remarks recognizing Mikki Madden. Both women have dedicated years of service to AAUW St. George and continue to support our Branch with enthusiasm and care. We are grateful for their commitment and look forward to their continued involvement as they help mentor and guide new leadership.
